Job summary

A Series A robotics startup in Watertown, MA is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join the R&D team and build software powering AI-driven robots in real-world production environments.

You will tackle cross-stack problems from microcontroller firmware to cloud infrastructure, orchestrate real-time robot code and motion planning, and collaborate with a low-ego, high-ownership team shipping code that affects the physical economy.

Qualifications

5–10 years of software engineering experience for robotics or embedded systems.
Strong Python programming skills; TypeScript/React a plus.
Experience building software for physical robotic systems (arms/manipulation/autonomous hardware).
BS or higher in CS, robotics, or related engineering field; advanced degrees a plus.
Familiarity with ROS, motion planning, or robot optimization.

Responsibilities

Orchestrate real-time robot code, motion planning, and ML pipelines across platforms.
Build and maintain data labeling frontends, perception systems, and compilers for robot intelligence.
Work across firmware to cloud infrastructure to tackle cross-stack challenges.
Collaborate with teammates to design and ship reliable robotic systems.
Deploy code directly into customer facilities, ensuring real-world performance.
