Job summary

DRH Search is assisting a well-funded startup in the factory robotics space in their search for robotics software engineers. The role will be based on-site at the Watertown, MA office, with multiple engineers being hired.

You will orchestrate real-time robot code, motion planning, and ML pipelines; build data labeling frontends, perception systems, and optimization compilers for robot intelligence; and contribute across the robotics stack from firmware to cloud.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of software engineering experience in robotics, automation, or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience building software for physical robotics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time robot code and motion planning optimization.

What you'll be doing:

• Orchestrating real-time robot code, motion planning optimization systems, and machine learning pipelines across a variety of platforms
• Building and maintaining data labeling frontends, perception systems, and optimizing compilers for robot intelligence
• Flexing up and down the robotics stack --- from firmware to cloud infrastructure --- to tackle the most pressing technical challenges
• Collaborating closely with teammates around a whiteboard to design and ship systems that enable ordinary robots to achieve extraordinary things
• Deploying directly into customer facilities, ensuring every line of code translates to real-world robotic performance

What you’ll bring:

• 2 - 10 years of experience in software engineering for robotics, automation, or embedded systems, with Python proficiency
• A demonstrated passion for software and robotics
• Experience building software for physical robotics systems (arms, manipulation, autonomous hardware)
• Natural collaborator, excited to work closely around a whiteboard in a team setting
