Carnegie Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team building advanced robotic systems. You will develop onboard software, loggers for NVMe storage, and high-performance middleware for real-world commercial products and R&D work.

Join a multidisciplinary group leveraging C++, Python, PyTorch, and CUDA to push the limits of autonomous systems and robotics tooling. Experience in defense contracting is a plus, with strong collaboration across departments and open-source contributions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
• Strong background in C++ and Python for robotics software.
• Experience with PyTorch/libtorch and CUDA in real projects.
• Proven debugging skills and ability to deploy autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance software infrastructure for robotics systems.
• Debug and profile software using GDB, pdb, valgrind, perf, and related tools.
• Implement efficient CUDA kernels and optimize performance for GPUs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to open-source projects.
