RoboForce seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to build production-grade software powering robot behavior in real-world environments. You will develop, integrate, and improve autonomy, perception, planning, and platform software for deployment on field robots.

Join a hands-on team that values robust debugging, tooling, and collaboration. Expect in-office collaboration five days a week, with projects spanning outdoor robotics and industrial deployments.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 2+ years in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, or embedded systems with field deployments.
• Programming: strong C++ and Python for production-level robot software.
• Core robotics domains: perception, planning, controls, localization, or robot behavior.
• Linux development environment proficiency and debugging workflows.
• Demonstrated debugging across software, hardware, sensors, and distributed systems.
• 5 days/week in-office collaboration with the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain production software for real-world robotic systems in C++ and Python.
• Integrate robotics capabilities across perception, planning, controls, and platform software.
• Improve software quality via testing, fault handling, and performance tuning.
• Investigate failures across software, sensors, networking, timing, and hardware interfaces.
• Build internal tools and scripts to boost developer velocity and release quality.
• Validate features on hardware through hands-on testing in real-world environments.
