Job summary

Embedding VC in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Senior/Staff Embedded Software Engineer, Robotics Platform to architect and develop foundational robotics platforms on Intel robotics platforms and NVIDIA Jetson devices, handling deployment, telemetry, DDS configuration, and OS/hypervisor integration.

You will lead platform design for perception, planning, control, and fleet services, optimize Linux-based systems, mentor engineers, and drive code quality through reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production-quality software, with a strong focus on Linux-based systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and Python, with experience developing performance-critical and systems-level software.
• Experience with large, complex systems and building tooling to support development, deployment, and observability.
• Demonstrated commitment to software quality through designing for testability, robustness, and long-term maintainability.
• Requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration with the teams.
