Job summary

Badger Technologies, a Jabil company in Lexington, KY, seeks a QA Engineer & Team Lead to drive quality assurance for next‑gen robotic platforms. The role blends leadership with hands‑on testing across software and hardware, including HIL verification and release readiness.

You will mentor a small QA team, develop test plans, and partner with Engineering, Product and Operations to ensure reliable field performance and timely product releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership or team lead role.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test automation solutions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small QA team with performance coaching.
• Define and execute the QA strategy, test methodologies, release readiness criteria, and quality standards across robotics platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test frameworks for software and robotic systems.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) verification and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, hardware, and systems engineering to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality.
