Job summary

Physical Intelligence is seeking a Robot Prototype Engineering Technician to fabricate, assemble and test early-stage robot designs. You will work with hardware design engineers to iterate prototypes using tools, 3D printing, soldering, and machining.

Qualifications include 2+ years in prototyping, strong CAD (Solidworks/Onshape), experience with diagnostics and PLCs, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prototyping technician experience.
• Assembly and disassembly skills on electromechanical systems with AC/DC motors, wiring, controllers.
• Soldering and harness/wiring skills.
• Proficiency with CAD to view design files (Solidworks, Onshape) and interpret drawings.
• Experience using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PLCs.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble robot prototype systems and components using tools, 3D printing, soldering, and machining; review mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Repair robot prototype systems and components including actuators, motors, gearboxes, bearings and wiring.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and testing of robot prototype systems and components using diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with hardware design engineers to iterate designs based on experimental results.
