Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware development, prototyping, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong hands-on fabrication skills (machining, 3D printing, laser cutters, hand tools).
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, or Rhino).
• Understanding of mechanical safety principles and entrapment hazards.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Rapid Prototyping & Fabrication: fabricate mechanical components using 3D printing, CNC, and manual methods.
• Complex Assembly: build and integrate structural components, actuators, gearboxes, and wiring with precision.
• Testing & Validation: support experiments, mechanical safety tests, performance validation, and reliability studies.
• Lab & Material Management: manage lab materials, tools, and maintain safety standards.
• Instrumentation: operate standard lab test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Documentation & SOPs: create detailed assembly instructions and maintenance logs.
