Job summary

Planted in Oakland, CA is seeking a Robotics Specialist to join the Integration Engineering team. You will lead hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly of robotic vehicle platforms, taking parts from schematics to production machines with strong autonomy and meticulous documentation.

As the role matures, you will iterate robot designs to tackle different solar deployment challenges, with up to 10% travel for field ECOs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or trade school preferred.
• 3+ years experience in electrical-mechanical assembly.
• Experience with hand tools, drill press, mill, lathe, welding.
• Able to relocate to SF Bay Area and work in person 5 days a week.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical teams.
• Forklift or heavy equipment certification is a plus.
• Track record of ownership and self-management.
• Experience with robotics development or energy systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and troubleshoot production and R&D robots.
• Source components, manage purchasing and inventory.
• Prepare assembly documentation and execute ECOs.
• Design improvements and field deployments up to 10% travel.
• Operate robots at local Bay Area R&D site.
