Job summary

Charge Robotics, based in the SF Bay Area with HQ in San Leandro, is seeking a Senior Robotics Integration Engineer to drive full-stack hardware-software integration for our robotic factory and deployment of gigawatts of clean power.

You will architect, build, document, test, and iterate mechatronic systems, and integrate sensors, actuators, control systems, and automation hardware, while optimizing interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and software components for reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in mechatronics, robotics integration, or automation engineering.
• Proficient in Python and reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is valued.
• Willing to travel ~10% to field sites.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, document, test, and iterate on mechatronic systems for our robotic factory.
• Integrate and commission sensors, actuators, control systems, and industrial automation hardware.
• Optimize the interface between mechanical, electrical, and software components for reliability and safety.
