Job summary

Charge Robotics in the SF Bay Area is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design and implement electrical systems powering our robotic factory, helping deploy gigawatts of clean power generation.

You will design, test, and validate power distribution, control circuits, wiring diagrams; select motors, sensors, and PLCs; create schematics and harnesses; collaborate with mechanical and software teams to scale from design to manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with power systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
  • Experience reading/creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, testing, and validating electrical systems including power distribution, control circuits, and signal conditioning for our robotic factory.
  • Selecting and integrating motors, sensors, actuators, PLCs, and other electrical components to meet reliability and performance targets.
  • Creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs while establishing standards for documentation and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues in factory and field deployments, collaborating with mechanical and software teams.
  • Scaling electrical systems from design to manufacturing and deployment.
