Job summary

Slip Robotics in Norcross, GA is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to own the assembly floor, schedule builds, balance lines, and drive throughput.

You will lead a team of technicians, partner with engineering and quality, ensure safety, and maintain ERP/MES integrity while scaling operations for high-volume robotics manufacturing.

This role demands practical floor leadership, problem solving, and a bias for action in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production, assembly, or manufacturing operations, including 2+ years managing hourly technicians.
• Hands-on experience on a mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly line.
• Proven ownership of production schedule and metrics (throughput, yield, on-time, labor efficiency).
• Experience creating shift structure, work assignments, and training programs.
• Experience with ERP or MES for work orders and inventory (NetSuite or similar).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Safety-first mindset with track record of enforcement.
• Calm under pressure and organized; surface problems early.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the Build and daily/weekly production schedule to hit dates.
• Run the floor with line balancing, staffing, and handoffs.
• Track units built, on-time completion, first-pass yield, labor hours per unit.
• Escalate part shortages and blockers to protect schedule.
• Establish daily production cadence and end-of-day status.
• Lead, schedule, and develop a team of assembly technicians.
• Own safety on the floor and enforce PPE and lockout/tagout.
• Maintain in-process and end-of-line quality with clear sign-offs.
• Drive root cause and corrective actions with engineering.
• Maintain ERP transactions and support new product introduction.
