ESYS AUTOMATION, LLC is seeking a Robotics Process Engineer II for our Lake Orion, MI facility. This onsite role will collaborate with engineering teams to develop simulations, optimize robotic processes, and validate robot applications across customer sites.

You will work with robot peripherals, tool center points, and offline programming software, and may travel up to 50% to support projects and JR locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field OR Associate's Degree with 2+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience with robot peripheral devices, tool center points, offline programming software, external axes, and user frames.
  • Experience with robot applications: Material Handling, Dispense, Welding (Spot/Arc/Laser).
  • Willingness to travel up to 35–50% to customer sites and other JR locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop simulations using platforms for internal and external process validation.
  • Apply cycle time improvement strategies to optimize robotic applications.
  • Confirm robot models and develop offline programs (OLPs).
  • Teach Tool Center Points (TCPs), Frames, and Loads.
  • Configure robot I/O and communication protocols.
  • Set parameters for application-specific equipment.
  • Train and mentor team members as directed.

What You’ll Do
