Job summary

DoorDash USA is seeking a Software Integration Engineer for our Platform Integration team. This role focuses on the software interfaces between subsystems, including OS, firmware, networking, timing, and calibration.

You will work with electrical, hardware, firmware, and autonomy engineers to support new functionality in hardware and software. You will design and maintain integration tests, build provisioning tools, and assist in integrating sensor and software components for autonomy.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software for robotics, autonomous vehicles, or other complex mechatronics systems.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for reliable, performant code.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level debugging when issues cross subsystem boundaries.
• Design and maintain integration tests, test setups, and procedures.
• Build and maintain mission-readiness checks for manufacturing, validation, field testing, and missions.
• Create provisioning tools, checks, and debug guidance for Manufacturing Integration, Validation, Field Service, and Fleet Operations.
• Support integration into the autonomy software stack and collaborate with electrical, hardware, and autonomy engineers.
