Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to join the Platform Integration team. You will bridge OS, software stack, firmware, networking, timing, and calibration, coordinating with electrical, hardware, and autonomy engineers to enable end-to-end robot operation.

You’ll design tests, build provisioning tools, and support integration into the autonomy software stack, reporting to the Autonomy Platform Lead in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software experience in robotics or complex mechatronics
• Proficient in Python and C++
• Experience reading and exploring large codebases
• Solid understanding of OS concepts, performance, and networking
• Experience with source control and build automation tools (Git, Jenkins, Buildkite)

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level debugging across subsystems
• Support early integration of new sensor and software designs
• Design and maintain integration tests and test setups
• Develop provisioning tools and functional tests
• Create tools and guidance for Manufacturing, Validation, Field Service, and Fleet Operations
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and autonomy engineers to integrate software and hardware
