Job summary

NEURA Robotics seeks a seasoned Perception Engineer to join the AI/Perception team. You will design deep-learning perception models and build the full sensor fusion stack for humanoid and collaborative robots, integrating cameras, LiDAR, IMU and joint sensors.

You will deploy real-time perception software in C++ and Python, validate modules in simulation and on real robot platforms, and collaborate across hardware, control and planning teams while ensuring safety and robustness.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field required.
3+ years of experience building perception stacks for dynamic, human-centered environments.
Strong programming in Python or modern C++ (CUDA a plus).
Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow for perception tasks in robotics; deployment on robotics hardware is a plus.
Solid background in computer vision and sensor fusion (3D geometry, multi-view geometry, LiDAR/IMU fusion).
Excellent English-language communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Architect and build the full perception pipeline from raw sensor input to world models.
Research state-of-the-art in robot perception and bring results to the real robot.
Design, train, and finetune neural networks; deploy on cloud and embedded hardware.
Implement real-time perception software in C++ and Python; leverage CUDA when needed.
Use ROS2 and DDS for high-throughput sensor pipelines; validate in simulation and on robots.
Collaborate with hardware, control, planning and manipulation teams; develop diagnostics and provide documentation.
