Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking an NPD Program Director for Robotics and Enabling Technologies in Pittsburgh. You will lead complex HW, embedded, cloud and workflow automation programs, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and high quality.

You will drive cross-functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and align with product group strategies. Occasional travel and hybrid work support are included.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Program Management experience in MedTech/medical devices or similar complex hardware/software environments.
• Experience delivering SaMD and MDDS projects.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and processes is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile best practices and toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, multi-disciplinary NPD projects with HW, embedded systems, cloud apps and workflow automation.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, with high quality and minimal sustaining engineering.
• Build and lead cross-functional teams and secure necessary alignment across partners.
• Maintain detailed project schedules and budgets; report progress to senior management.
• Oversee design control, DHF, and quality objectives across programs.
• Coordinate with R&D and Commercial to maximize business value and product roadmap.
• Foster process improvement and effective risk management across projects.
