Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Robotics Engineer to help build systems that operate in our data centers and collect sensor data at scale. You will own ML that turns imagery, LiDAR, and thermal streams into reliable outputs, working closely with robotics and software engineers.

The role requires a track record of ML in production across diverse problems, including perception, model fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment. Domestic travel ~30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience including shipping ML to production.
• Fluency in Python and strong debugging skills.
• Experience with the full ML stack: data/feature pipelines, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with the AWS ML stack (or equivalent) — SageMaker AI, Bedrock, S3-based pipelines, and GPU training on EC2.
• Computer vision / perception experience on real-world sensor data — RGB, PCD, etc.

Responsibilities

• Build systems operating in data centers and collect rich sensor data at scale.
• Turn robot-collected data — imagery, LiDAR, thermal streams — into useful, reliable outputs.
• Collaborate with robotics and software engineers so model outputs are usable downstream and feedback train data.
• Travel approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, and validation tests.
