Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team, repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians.

Role requires hands-on troubleshooting, a strong safety focus, and the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts. Day 1 benefits include comprehensive health care and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience or Amazon apprenticeship.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays).
• Maintain positive working relationship across Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders, bend and reach as required.
