Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician for our Plymouth, MN site. The role covers assembling, testing, and validating automated machinery, robotics, and custom equipment builds. You will work closely with mechanical designers, controls engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The position is a contract role with a 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM shift. Pay ranges from $35.00 to $37.00 per hour, with standard benefits eligibility and on-site working conditions

Qualifications

• Experience with automated machinery, robotics, or custom equipment builds.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Strong mechanical assembly and pneumatics knowledge.
• Willingness to work onsite in Plymouth, MN.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, frames, fixtures, subassemblies and robotic systems.
• Perform precision alignment of actuators, sensors, and tooling.
• Install pneumatic systems, tubing, valves, and fittings.
• Wire control panels, sensors, motors and power systems.
• Route cables and harnesses for neat installations.
• Support controls engineers with I/O checkout and debugging.
• Assist with testing and system verification.
• Identify issues during startup and collaborate on solutions.
• Make basic robot or PLC adjustments under supervision.
• Maintain build notes and engineering feedback.
