Qualifications

• 4+ years in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD experience, understanding of part design and assemblies.
• Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and their application to product design.
• Ability to communicate concepts and write technical documents.
• Experience with full lifecycle and meeting milestones.
• Experience evaluating design, performance and tradeoffs for hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing.
• Collaborating with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality as well as vendors to ensure smooth product launch and sustaining.
• Writing requirements, functional specs, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• Exhibiting thorough engineering analysis and cradle to grave ownership.
• Designing and adapting holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems with fluid requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors and integrators to deliver automation solutions.
• Creating design of experiments and leading cross-functional automation of experiments.
