Job summary

Yaskawa America, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer with a mechanical design focus to originate, design and develop robotic systems and automation products. You will participate in design reviews, apply SolidWorks (Solid Edge a plus), and work across multiple projects within the ISO framework.

The role requires the ability to perform advanced calculations, interpret technical documentation, and travel frequently. A BS degree and up to 2 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree and zero to two years related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical calculations to verify design intent.
• Use Yaskawa Motoman ERP modules (Item Master, BOM, Purchasing, Production, Engineering).
• Attend and lead internal and customer design review meetings.
• Follow ISO procedures and suggest process improvements.
• Understand and apply industry standards.
• Travel frequently; maintain valid driver's license and insurance.
• Solve technical problems through project cycle, especially design, manufacturing, and debugging phases.
• Prepare design layouts, BOMs, calculations, and other engineering data.
