Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead robotics hardware development for its data-center automation program in the United States. You will design, prototype, test, and productionize end effectors, docking interfaces, and mechanical systems that operate reliably in harsh data-center environments.

Qualifications

• Designed mechanical systems for robotics, automation, or mechatronics products.
• Taken hardware from prototype through reliability testing.
• Designed interfaces and tolerances that survive the real world.
• Tested to failure on purpose and instrumented everything.

Responsibilities

• Engineer the mechanical side of data center robotics: end effectors, docking, interfaces between robots and plant.
• Design the physical integration: how robots handle, mate with, and service equipment designed for humans.
• Prototype fast and test hard: concepts to instrumented trials in weeks.
• Productionize what works: DFM, reliability, and spares for hardware that runs unattended.
