Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI in Austin, Texas. We seek engineers to design the mechanical systems that power data center robotics, from end effectors to docking interfaces, with a focus on reliability and manufacturability.

You will prototype quickly, test to failure, and iterate with controls and software teams to ensure robust, scalable hardware that runs unattended.

Qualifications

• Designed mechanical systems for robotics, automation, or mechatronics products.
• Took hardware from prototype through reliability testing.
• Designed interfaces and tolerances that survive real-world use.
• Practical testing by pushing to failure and instrumenting results.
• Worked in fast loops with controls and software.

Responsibilities

• Engineer the mechanical side of data center robotics: end effectors, docking, and interfaces between robots and plant.
• Design the physical integration for how robots handle, mate with, and service equipment.
• Prototype rapidly and test hard, moving concepts to instrumented trials in weeks.
• Productionize what works: design for manufacturability, reliability, and spares for unattended hardware.
