Job summary

Lab37 Robotics is seeking a mechanical engineer to own sub-components and test rigs, driving design, prototyping, and testing from concept to fabrication. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, and assembly instructions while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

You will prototype, analyze performance data, and iterate designs using various manufacturing processes, with documentation and reviews guiding progress. This onsite role is based in the LA/Pittsburgh area with room to grow.

Qualifications

• Design and develop mechanical sub-components and test rigs to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Conduct hands-on prototype building and testing, analyzing performance data to iterate designs.
• Utilize a variety of manufacturing processes and materials to optimize designs for performance and efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews, presenting concepts and prototypes to stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation related to project plans, design specifications, and testing procedures.
