Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s Medtech division in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to perform electro‑mechanical assembly of robotic modules and support production schedules in a regulated environment.

You will work with GDP, ISO 13485, and 6S standards, performing tests, line setup, and documentation in MES/SAP, with career growth within the OTTAVA Surgical Robotic Platform program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years in manufacturing or assembly.
• Knowledge of GDP or familiarity with FDA-regulated or ISO-certified environments.
• Proficiency in assembly tools: torque wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, multimeters, presses, etc.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly of robotic system modules including joints and control modules.
• Operate in a structured production line to meet daily build targets with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, GDP.
• Interpret and apply assembly procedures to build, verify, and validate components.
• Conduct basic tests using calibrated tools and test fixtures.
• Record build steps, inspection results, and test outcomes in MES, ERP/SAP and DHR systems.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas following 6S and safety standards.
