Job summary

Standard Bots in Glen Cove, NY is seeking an on-site Manufacturing & Process Engineer who will own the manufacturing process from design to production, improving fixtures, tooling, and workflows on the shop floor. You’ll report to the Manufacturing & Process Engineering Manager and collaborate with product, mechanical engineering, quality, and production teams.

As production scales, your scope will expand and your decisions will directly impact yield, cycle time, and first-pass quality.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing or process engineering in a hardware production environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• Hands-on production-level experience with DFM/DFA, fixture design, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Sit in DFM/DFA reviews with product and mechanical engineering and provide concrete feedback on assemblability, tolerances, and cost.
• Design, build, and validate fixtures, tooling, and workstations for robot assembly and test.
• Own the process flow for assigned assemblies and support NPI as products move from prototype to production.
• Spot automation opportunities in assembly, test, and material handling and build cases for value-adding improvements.
• Drive measurable gains in yield, cycle time, and first-pass quality on owned stations and lines.
