Job summary

Symbotic in Wilmington, MA offers a Summer Intern position in Robot Manipulation. You will work with engineers on real-time high-performance software to manipulate real-world objects with high accuracy, and help develop motion planning and control software for robotic manipulators.

This internship provides mentorship, professional development, and relocation housing benefits for eligible students. Travel up to 10% may be required, and you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic Agile/Scrum

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Linux, C++, Python, MATLAB.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence or similar tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD and Docker or Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm with engineers to develop real-time high-performance software for manipulating real-world objects.
• Design data structures and algorithms for performance and reliability.
• Develop motion planning and state machines for robotic manipulators.
• Create control software for end effectors and grippers.
• Help test and troubleshoot systems in production or design.
