Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance of equipment, robotics, and facilities, maximizing uptime and supporting software researchers by resetting items in robot work cells and troubleshooting issues.

You will read electrical diagrams, operate power tools, install and integrate actuators and sensors, and help build testing structures. The role emphasizes documentation, safety, and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience working in robotics or automation environments.
• Maintenance, repair and modification of systems.
• Inventory and spare parts organization and documentation experience.
• Part ordering experience.
• Team player able to wear multiple hats and help the team as needed.
• Ability to prioritize work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Software: Maintain a strong understanding of system architecture.
• Use software provided by supplier/manufacturer to monitor health of robots.
• Hardware: Read mechanical and electrical diagrams.
• Troubleshoot robots and mechatronics systems.
• Perform mechanical, electronic, motion control and power systems maintenance and integration.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot actuators and sensors in robotic systems.
• Use power tools to perform repairs on various robot types.
• Assist in building obstacles and structures for testing and development.
