Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience with a mechatronics focus.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD software for manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with actuators, sensors and control systems.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Responsibilities

• Take on mechanical design and development of robotic assembly components.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Test, troubleshoot and integrate mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with electrical/software engineers on integrated solutions.
• Develop solutions from concept with minimal guidance.
• Support research staff by implementing hardware changes.
