Job summary

Lab37 Robotics in Pittsburgh is seeking a Logistics and Inventory Specialist to manage inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and prepare components for builds in a fast-paced production environment. You will coordinate with carriers, update BOMs, issue POs, track orders, and forecast material needs while collaborating with engineering and production teams to prevent shortages.

The role is onsite five days a week with a base salary of $80,000–$100,000 and potential equity

Qualifications

• 2-5 years prior experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, warehouse management, or inventory control.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking software, spreadsheets, and BOM management.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
• Receive materials and parts, inspect deliveries, and accurately update inventory records.
• Maintain an organized and accessible inventory system; pull and kit components for builds as needed.
• Cross-reference BOMs against current inventory to identify assemblies as “Clear to Build”
• Issue purchase orders (POs) based on inventory needs and project requirements.
• Track and manage the status of open orders, follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages.
• Resolve discrepancies in orders, inventory, and shipments with vendors and internal teams.
• Support improvements to inventory management systems and logistics processes.
