Job summary

Morey in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Robotics Integration to design, build, and deploy robotic work cells and tooling for assembly, inspection, and testing. You will work with Manufacturing Engineers to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost on the production floor from concept through production launch.

You will develop EOAT, guarding, robot programs, PLC/HMI logic, and machine-vision systems, while ensuring compliance with machine-safety standards and IATF 16949/ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in robotics integration, automation, and tooling in manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial and collaborative robotics.
• Experience with safety guarding and machine-safety standards.
• Experience with drives and PLCs; industrial networking preferred.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, integrate, and deploy robotic work cells for assembly and handling.
• Design tooling, fixtures, EOAT, and safety guarding with drawings and 3D models.
• Develop robot programs, PLC/HMI logic, and motion control; network cell components.
• Integrate pneumatics, sensors, actuators, and safety devices into cells.
• Develop machine-vision systems for robot guidance and inspection.
• Perform risk assessments; ensure compliance with ANSI/RIA ISO standards.
• Fabricate tooling/components or coordinate their fabrication for cells.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, Design, and customer reps on DFMA.
• Support installation, commissioning, and production hand-off of cells.
• Document standard work and train operators and maintenance staff.
• Drive lean initiatives to reduce cycle time and cost; support NPI and capital projects.
• Ensure IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 compliance; conduct DOE and ROI analyses.
