Job summary

Central Employment in Boston is partnering with a robotics company to hire a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer who will own critical software, infrastructure, and automation systems governing a fleet of production robots operating 24/7.

You'll work directly with the CTO at the intersection of robotics, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered automation, tackling cross-functional challenges across hardware, software, and production operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux systems knowledge and production experience.
• Proficiency with Python and software engineering best practices.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based systems.
• Ability to diagnose issues across multiple layers of a technology stack.
• Interest in AI coding agents and automation tools.
• Comfort with fast-paced startup environments and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve robot-side software and infrastructure, including Linux environments, Python-based control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with the CTO to remove engineering bottlenecks, improving deployment speed, reliability, and developer productivity.
• Design and implement AI-powered engineering workflows and agents to automate debugging, testing, infrastructure management, and operations.
• Troubleshoot issues spanning hardware, OS, networking, cloud services, and application layers.
• Build simulation, testing, and validation tooling to accelerate development without physical robots.
• Drive best practices around infrastructure reliability, monitoring, deployment automation, and operations.
