Job summary

Wonder in Boston, MA is seeking a Systems Engineer to bridge Hardware, Electrical, and Software teams for new robotics products. You will manage projects with consultants and automation vendors, researching, prototyping, integrating, and testing electromechanical systems for future devices.

Role requires leading design strategies for pneumatic/fluidic controls and collaborating with multiple engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, validated by thorough testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years engineering experience, with 2+ years in system integration or systems engineering in robotics/automation.
• Experience coordinating with third-party vendors to build custom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create system-level schematics mapping motors, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and power.
• Research and evaluate technologies for subsystem direction.
• Lead vendor communications to fit products into core architecture.
• Test critical components to meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Design pneumatic and fluidic controls and safety strategy.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to specify sensors and actuators.
