Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Back Equipment Technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. You will troubleshoot electromechanical issues, install and test new systems, and maintain logs in SAP as part of a fast-paced, high‑volume operation.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate’s degree preferred) and knowledge of automated mechanical systems, pneumatics, and electrical components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of automated mechanical systems, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing defective parts.
• Diagnose and repair electromechanical issues on multi station robotic manufacturing equipment, often using diagnostic tools.
• Install and test new equipment and systems in collaboration with maintenance and engineering.
• Maintain logs in SAP, reports, and records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and provide training to staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Inform production of routine preventive maintenance and monitor downtime.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Document actions and communicate needs to other teams to maintain continuity.
