Job summary

Albany International is seeking an experienced equipment maintenance technician to support and repair plant machinery and robotic systems in Salt Lake City. You will diagnose electromechanical issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and install new equipment with the engineering team.

You will maintain SAP logs, follow safety procedures, and help optimize uptime in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of various equipment systems, such as automated mechanical systems, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
• Basic maintenance and mechanical knowledge and aptitude with a good understanding of general manufacturing equipment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a team setting.
• Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of industrial safe work practices.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow set schedules unsupervised.
• Composite industry experience is a plus.
• SAP working knowledge.
• Computer competency.
• Customer Focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment under supervision, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
• Diagnose and repair electromechanical issues on multi-station robotic manufacturing equipment and related machinery.
• Assemble, install, test, and commission new equipment and systems with engineering teams.
• Maintain logs and records of maintenance and repair work in SAP.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and train others on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Minimize downtime by following preventive maintenance schedules and addressing issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate parts and supplies orders.
• Document actions, irregularities, and needs to keep teams informed.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a high-volume environment.
