Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with safety programs from concept through certification/regulatory process.
• Demonstrated ability to move between system and detailed implementation.

Responsibilities

• Guide design of controls for robotics and industrial equipment for safe operation.
• Perform hazard and risk assessments and safety analyses of robotics equipment.
• Write or review safety requirement specifications and verification plans.
• Apply IEC industrial standards across the development lifecycle and coach teams.
• Collaborate across disciplines to take designs from concept to production and certification.
• Analyze failure modes and identify mitigations and diagnostics.
• Ensure systems comply with machinery safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, IEC 61496).
