Job summary

Ndimensions Labs in Boston, MA is hiring a dedicated Electrical Engineer to design custom PCBs for robotics. You will own schematic capture, layout, bring-up, and validation across the full design lifecycle, ensuring production-ready boards with proper DFM practices.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in PCB design, multi-layer board experience, and strong skills with Altium Designer, KiCad or Eagle, plus BOM management and power-electronics know-how.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering and PCB design.
  • Experience designing multi-layer PCBs for mixed-signal, power, and high-speed apps.
  • Proficiency with PCB CAD tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle.
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, testing, and validation using lab equipment.
  • Experience managing production pipelines, BOMs, and quality control.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics and embedded interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom PCBs for robotics applications, including power systems, sensors, drivers, and comms.
  • Own the full board design lifecycle: schematic capture, layout, prototyping, bring-up, and validation.
  • Use CAD tools to create production-quality designs with DFM considerations.
  • Develop and execute test plans for electrical subsystems and environmental qualification.
  • Manage transition from prototype to production with vendors, BOMs, and manufacturing oversight.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and firmware engineers for seamless electronics integration.
  • Troubleshoot and debug electrical issues from component to system level.
