Job summary

Path Robotics is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Mechanical Engineering & Hardware Design in Columbus, OH. You will lead a team responsible for sensing end‑of‑arm tooling, robotic hardware, and electromechanical interfaces, guiding hardware from concept through deployment.

You will partner with ML, Robotics, Software, and Electrical teams to translate requirements into scalable hardware solutions, while fostering technical growth and improving reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering, robotics, automation, or industrial hardware development.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Proficiency in mechanical design, electromechanical systems, and robotics hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers with performance feedback.
• Own priorities, resource planning, and execution of hardware development.
• Oversee design of sensing end‑of‑arm tooling, fixtures, and robotic components.
• Integrate cameras, 3D sensors, force/torque sensors, and tactile sensing.
• Define mechanical interfaces between robots, tools, and workpieces.
• Lead design reviews and establish reliability, manufacturability standards.
• Collaborate with ML, Robotics, Software, and Electrical teams for hardware solutions.
• Support hiring and scalable engineering processes as Path grows.
