Job summary

Path Robotics in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to serve as Technical Lead for our Sensing and Embodied Intelligence team. You will define architecture for end-of-arm tooling, sensor interfaces, and training task design while delivering hands-on hardware work.

You will own the full lifecycle from requirements to production, mentor engineers, and collaborate with ML, electrical, and software teams to advance robotic manipulation capabilities in real-world manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in robotics, automation, or industrial hardware development.
• Experience leading hardware product direction from concept to deployment.
• Strong understanding of end-of-arm tooling, sensor payloads, and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for sensing end-of-arm tooling, physical interfaces, and training task design.
• Translate product goals into hardware requirements and interface specs.
• Lead design reviews and set robustness, serviceability, and manufacturability standards.
• Own full lifecycle from requirements to deployment and improvements.
• Mentor engineers and ensure sound engineering judgment across the team.
