Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a field service technician to visit customer sites in San Francisco and surrounding areas to install, maintain, and repair commercial robots. The role combines hands-on repair with remote support from specialists to resolve issues efficiently.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document each visit with photos and notes, and ensure customer sign-off while following safety procedures. Prior robotics experience is not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Practical experience fixing or maintaining equipment; field service, appliance repair, or facilities maintenance backgrounds helpful.
• Reliability, clear communication, and accurate job records.
• Willingness to ask for help and report mistakes.
• Able to drive to customer sites, work in varying weather, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install robots and verify proper operation at customer sites.
• Find and fix mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance.
• Explain problems and repairs to customers.
• Record each visit with photos, notes, and customer sign-off.
• Keep tools and spare parts ready.
• Follow safety procedures on site and with equipment.
