Job summary

Service Robot Co. seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to visit customer sites in San Diego, install, maintain, and repair commercial robots. You will work on site with support from a remote specialist and be paid per work order.

You will perform on-site diagnostics, fix mechanical, electrical, and software issues, conduct scheduled maintenance, and document each visit with photos, notes, and customer sign-off. Training and industry certifications are provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• Practical experience fixing or maintaining equipment.
• Field service, appliance repair, low-voltage work, and facilities maintenance are useful backgrounds.
• Willingness to ask for help and report mistakes.
• Availability to drive to customer sites, work in different weather conditions, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install robots and check that they work correctly.
• Find and fix mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance.
• Explain the problem and the repair to the customer.
• Record each visit with photos, job notes, and customer sign-off.
• Keep your tools and spare parts ready.
• Follow site and equipment safety procedures.
