Job summary

ABB is hiring a Robotics Field Service Tech to support IRB robot installations in the San Antonio and central Texas region. You will perform scheduled maintenance visits, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, replace motors and gearboxes, update robot firmware, and maintain positive relationships with customer maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial robot maintenance experience.
• Experience with ABB IRB robots preferred; FANUC or KUKA considered.
• Servo drive and motor replacement skills.
• Ability to interpret robot diagnostics and alarm histories.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within a 150-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance visits to ABB robotics systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults on robots.
• Replace motors and gearboxes as needed during service calls.
• Update robot firmware and software when required.
• Maintain positive relationships with customer maintenance teams during visits.
