Job summary

FANUC America is seeking a Robotic Engineer to provide technical leadership and support to integrators and end users across the FAC Midwest region. The role collaborates with Sales, Applications, and Execution teams to demonstrate and apply FANUC robotic automation solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in engineering, 3+ years in robotics automation, and hands-on FANUC programming and vision experience. Travel about 50% is expected to support sales and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering and integration of industrial robotics automation systems.
• FANUC robot programming experience.
• Experience with FANUC machine vision related to robotic applications.
• ROBOGUIDE software proficiency (HandlingPRO, PalletPRO, OlpcPRO, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills to support Sales and Applications Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support application of intelligent robots in the Midwest region.
• Build relationships with regional network and end users to improve robot sales via training and support.
• Provide training to internal and external customers in robot hardware, software, and safety.
• Assist customers with product and system expertise across robot hardware, machine vision, and safety.
• Provide direction for resolution of technical product issues.
• Travel with district managers on sales calls where advanced technical support is needed.
• Maintain demo cells and prepare custom demonstrations to support sales.
• Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FANUC tools to assist customers.
