Job summary

KUKA Aktiengesellschaft in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair and service robotic systems on-site and via remote support, while keeping precise service records and inventory control. This role requires frequent travel to customer sites, long hours at times, and strong problem-solving in electrical, mechanical and programming domains.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and five years of related experience are preferred; passport and driver’s license

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, electronic prints and related technical documentation.
• Strong customer service fundamentals for phone and face-to-face contact with customers.
• Proficient PC usage (MS Office, Internet, email).
• Valid driver’s license and passport required.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned robotic/automation jobs, including onsite installation and repair.
• Maintain service records and inventory of parts, tools, and test equipment.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for field technicians.
• Travel to customer sites and work long hours to meet customer needs.
• Develop rapport with customers and forward sales leads to account managers.
• Adhere to safety practices and quality systems.
