Job summary

Lightwheel is seeking a seasoned Robotics Deployment Engineer to lead on-site integration projects for customer systems. You will deploy, commission, and validate full robotic solutions, coordinating hardware and software interfaces across sensors, controllers, and safety systems.

You will diagnose on-site issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with R&D teams to implement rapid resolutions while producing deployment plans, interface documentation, and technical manuals for end users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation, Robotics, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–10 years of system integration and deployment experience in robotics/autonomous driving/embodied AI.
  • Hands-on with sensors (camera/LiDAR/IMU/force), drivers, and data pipelines; familiar with safety systems.
  • Willing to work on-site in the U.S.; Chinese-speaking candidates preferred for China-based R&D coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, integrate, and commission full robotic systems at customer sites
  • Coordinate hardware-software integration, including sensor integration, communication links, and safety system setup
  • Diagnose on-site issues, identify root causes, and work with R&D teams to resolve them promptly
  • Produce deployment plans, interface documentation, and on-site technical manuals
