Job summary

OpenMind is seeking an on-site Deployment Engineer to lead end-to-end deployments of OM1-powered robots at enterprise customers across manufacturing, logistics, and retail. You will write software, diagnose field failures, and bridge the gap to the core engineering team, shaping the product roadmap with real-world, high-signal data.

This role requires hands-on hardware experience, strong problem-solving under pressure, and frequent travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python/Go/C++ and Linux in real-world deployments.
• Hands-on robotics or hardware experience outside a lab.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems under pressure.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site deployments of OM1-powered robots at enterprise customers across manufacturing, logistics, and retail.
• Integrate robots with customer infrastructure: networks, safety systems, workflows, and operator training.
• Debug across the full stack in the field: hardware, firmware, perception, navigation, and cloud telemetry.
• Build deployment tooling, runbooks, and remote diagnostics to simplify future deployments.
• Translate field observations into prioritized engineering requirements and drive them to resolution.
• Serve as the technical face of OpenMind to customer engineering and operations teams.
