Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, seeks an Industrial Designer to own Class A surface development for robot exterior parts, translating concept geometry into production-ready 3D models and defining cosmetic finishes.

You will collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure DFM compliance while preserving design intent, manage CMF documentation, and help shape a cohesive exterior product language across the robot.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design/innovation, research & development, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Experience in management of engineering design projects.

Responsibilities

• Own Class A surface development for injection-molded exterior parts, from approved concept geometry to production-intent 3D models.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure surface geometry is DFM-compliant without compromising design intent.
• Refine surface models through tooling development and incorporate feedback from T0/T1 sample reviews.
• Support 2D cosmetic drawing callouts including surface finish, texture zones, parting line locations, and appearance-critical areas.
