Job summary
Honda is seeking an Electrical Design Robotics professional to deliver robotic hardware, software, and safety designs for new model introductions across North American facilities.
The role requires a BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 0–2 years of related experience and skills in robot CAD, programming, and simulations. Willingness to travel across North America and support plant installations is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related Manufacturing discipline; an Associate's degree with 3+ years relevant experience, or 6+ years with no degree.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; adept with robot CAD and simulation tools.
Responsibilities
- Prepare installation plans, schedules, and deliverables.
- Create documentation for robotic system installation.
- Lead small-scale projects and manage execution of activities.
- Support or run simulation studies for robotic applications.
- Assist with system installation and troubleshooting in NA manufacturing facilities.
- Perform robot programming and configuration online and offline.
- Coordinate robot programming contractors and review equipment specs.
