Job summary

Hai Robotics seeks a Robotics Engineer to deploy and validate AMRs in warehouse environments, integrating with WMS/WES/WCS and PLCs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical/mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• Entry-level experience with AGV/ACR/AMR implementations.
• Knowledge of WMS integration and software integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiar with Linux/UNIX, SQL, and scripting basics.
• Basic knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and routers.
• Excellent communication skills; Chinese language is a plus.
• Understanding of DevOps philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission AMRs and related automation systems at customer facilities.
• Install, configure, and validate servers, networking, and software for warehouse automation.
• Integrate robotics with WES, WCS, WMS, PLCs, conveyors, and third-party equipment.
• Configure software parameters for robots, charging, racks, sensors, and workstations.
• Perform robot calibration including localization, navigation, and vision systems.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure performance and quality.
• Provide on-site and remote support during commissioning and stabilization.
• Document testing procedures, commissioning reports, and issue logs.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to meet project specs and safety.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to optimize systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and support automation systems at customer facilities.
• Install, configure, and validate servers, networking infrastructure, and software platforms required for warehouse automation systems.
• Integrate robotic hardware with WES, WCS, WMS, PLCs, conveyors, workstations, and third-party equipment.
• Configure software parameters for robots, charging systems, storage racks, workstations, sensors, and other automation equipment.
• Perform robot calibration, including localization, navigation, vision systems, sensors, lifting mechanisms, and workstation alignment.

Testing & Technical Validation

• Execute functional, integration, and system-level testing to validate overall system performance and stability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test procedures, and validation protocols to ensure all hardware and software components meet performance and quality standards.
• Conduct stress, endurance, and production-simulation testing to validate system robustness, identify performance bottlenecks, and ensure system stability and reliability. Monitor key performance metrics, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and drive continuous improvements to maximize system uptime before customer Go‑Live.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot complex electromechanical, networking, hardware, and software issues during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support throughout commissioning and stabilization, ensuring successful customer acceptance and Go‑Live.
• Continue supporting the customer after implementation by rapidly diagnosing and resolving technical issues until the system reaches stable production operation

Documentation & Reporting

• Develop comprehensive testing procedures, commissioning reports, issue logs, and technical documentation to ensure implementation quality and traceability.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors, and installation partners to ensure work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Communicate project status, technical risks, testing results, implementation progress, and issue resolution effectively with customers, project managers, software teams, hardware teams, and other internal stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with software, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams to resolve technical issues, verify fixes through regression testing, and optimize system performance.

System Optimization & Reliability Engineering

• Support system optimization, performance tuning, and reliability improvements prior to customer acceptance.

Customer Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Train customer operations and maintenance personnel on system functionality and basic troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience that encompasses the knowledge gained through a degree

Required Experience

• Entry-level experience in AGV ACR or AMR solution implementation
• Knowledge of WMS integration and software integration.
• Analytical mind and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Some field experience in warehouse automation, material handling equipment, and warehouse operations is preferred.
• Familiar with Linux/UNIX, SQL, and the ability to write scripts to automate tasks.
• Basic knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and routers
• Analytical mind and outstanding communication skills
• Speaking Chinese is an advantage but not mandatory
• Basic understanding of DevOps philosophies.
